Job summary

GEA Group in York, PA is seeking a Welder II to join the Production Team. The role focuses on welding complex packages, heat exchangers and vessels to exact specifications, and assembling welded sub assemblies.

You will also install system piping and assist in training less experienced staff. The position requires 3+ years of welding experience, familiarity with pipe welding including 6G qualification and strong math/reading of blueprints.

Qualifications

• High School Diploma or Equivalent preferred but not required.
• Certified Vocational Degrees preferred.
• Minimum 3+ years' experience in lieu of vocational degree/certificate in structural / pipe welding.
• Pipe welding (Ability to qualify in a 6G test for Mig, Pulse and Tig).
• Basic math skills and blueprint reading.

Responsibilities

• Performs welds on complex packages, heat exchangers and vessels to required specifications and budgets.
• Assembles and welds sub assembly parts; welds internal and external parts; installs water boxes and piping.
• Assist in training less experienced employees and supports production goals.
• Performs other duties as assigned and maintains safety standards.
