Job summary

Mayville Engineering Company, Inc. is seeking a skilled welder to set up manual weld machines or load programs per setup sheets and position parts into tooling according to prints.

You will weld parts per customer prints, verify filler, tooling, and gas flow, perform quality checks, remove weld spatter, and keep the work area clean and safe. The role requires a 1-year certificate or related experience, ability to lift up to 50 lbs, and willingness to work 8–12 hour shifts with regular physical

• Ability to operate or program welding equipment per setup sheet.

Responsibilities

• Sets up manual weld machine or downloads program per set up sheet instructions.
• Verifies proper filler, tooling, and gas flow is prepared in the robot or staged in manual area per set up instructions.
• Reviews weld requirements from weld prints (size, spacing, location, etc.).
• Loads and locates parts into tooling per print and work instructions.
• Welds parts per customer provided prints.
• Removes weld spatter and scale from finished parts.
• Performs quality checks per set up sheet.
• Maintains welding equipment and sees that work area is orderly and clean.
• Performs other duties as assigned.

Job Skills Requirements

• Able to read and understand basic blueprints andweldinstructions.

Education/Experience Requirements

• One year certificate from college or technical school; or
• One yearrelated experience and/or training.

Physical & Environmental Requirements

• Some physicaldemand;often lifts light to heavy-weight material. Frequent lifting/moving average weight (up to 50lbs/11-27 kgs) material.
• Ability to perform occasional to frequent pushing, pulling, bending, kneeling, twisting, crawling and/or reaching over a full work shift (8-12 hours).
• Ability to operate motorized vehicles over a full work shift (8-12 hours).
• Ability to stand and / or walk constantly over a full work shift on concrete (8-12 hours).
• May be exposed to noise levels for which hearing protection is required to be worn over a full work shift (8-12 hours).
