Job summary

Mayville Engineering Company, Inc. in Wisconsin is seeking a dedicated welder to read blueprints, set up and operate manual or robotic weld equipment, and weld parts per prints. You will verify filler, tooling, and gas flow, and perform quality checks on finished parts in a clean, safe environment.

This full-time position requires a one-year certificate or related experience and the ability to lift up to 50 lbs and work an 8- to 12-hour shift.

Qualifications

• Ability to read and understand basic blueprints and welding instructions.
• Experience with reading weld prints and interpreting setup sheets.

Responsibilities

• Set up manual weld machine or download program per setup sheet instructions.
• Verify proper filler, tooling, and gas flow in robot or manual area per setup instructions.
• Load and locate parts into tooling per print and work instructions.
• Weld parts per customer provided prints.
• Remove weld spatter and scale from finished parts.
• Perform quality checks per setup sheet.
• Maintain welding equipment and keep work area clean.
• Perform other duties as assigned.

• Loads and locates parts into tooling per print and work instructions.
• Welds partsper customer provided prints.
• Removes weld spatter and scale from finished parts.
• Performs quality checks per set up sheet.
• Maintains welding equipment and sees that work area is orderly and clean.
• Performs other duties as assigned.

Job Skills Requirements

• Able to read and understand basic blueprints andweldinstructions.

Education/Experience Requirements

• One year certificate from college or technical school; or
• One yearrelated experience and/or training.

Physical & Environmental Requirements

• Some physicaldemand;often lifts light to heavy-weight material. Frequent lifting/moving average weight (up to 50lbs/11-27 kgs) material.
• Ability to perform occasional to frequent pushing, pulling, bending, kneeling, twisting, crawling and/or reaching over a full work shift (8-12 hours).
• Ability to operate motorized vehicles over a full work shift (8-12 hours).
• Ability to stand and / or walk constantly over a full work shift on concrete (8-12 hours).
• May be exposed to noise levels for which hearing protection is required to be worn over a full work shift (8-12 hours).
