Job summary

MEC (Mayville Engineering Company, Inc.) is seeking a welding operator for the 3rd shift to read blueprints and plan welding operations. You will perform basic welding setup, prepare materials, and ensure weld quality through inspection and testing.

Candidate should have basic welding knowledge, good manual dexterity, and the stamina to work extended shifts. You may operate robots, saws, and grinders while following strict PPE rules.

Qualifications

  • Assists in troubleshooting and repairing welds.

  • May operate machinery including welding robots, saws, and grinders.

Physical & Environmental Requirements
  • Some physical demand; often lifts light to heavy-weight material. Frequent lifting/moving average weight (up to 50 lbs/11-27 kgs) material.
  • Ability to perform occasional to frequent pushing, pulling, bending, kneeling, twisting, crawling and/or reaching over a full work shift (8-12 hours).
  • Ability to operate motorized vehicles over a full work shift (8-12 hours).
  • Ability to stand and / or walk constantly over a full work shift on concrete (8-12 hours).
  • May be exposed to noise levels for which hearing protection is required to be worn over a full work shift (8-12 hours).
