Job Overview
The PCX Welder I is responsible for adhering to engineering and quality specifications, performing work according to PCX safety standards, and ensuring welds meet safety and quality requirements.
A Day In The Life
- Follow PCX safety guidelines and requirements.
- Fabricate and repair metal and other weldable materials using appropriate welding techniques and devices.
- Interpret blueprints, specifications, diagrams, or schematics to select the proper welding process with supervision.
- Inspect completed welds to ensure structural soundness.
- Comply with safety protocols in hazardous environments.
- Complete apprenticeship or formal training in the area of specialty if required.
What Will Help You Thrive in This Role
- High School diploma or equivalent preferred.
- Ability to lift 35 lbs consistently.
- Willingness to work 10+ hours per day and weekends as needed.
- 1-4 years of related experience or relevant training/certification; or 0 years with an associate degree or additional training.
