Starting Rate of pay: $18.92/hour

Shifts Available and Hours: Day shift 5AM to 3PM

Job Responsibilities:

• Fluent in reading a tape measure.
• Set up assembly-line-style welding for faster production, handling several hundred welds within a single shift.
• Identify proper welding wire and alloy for the applicable base metal.
• Change wire, rollers, tips, diffusers, and nozzles, and set up proper tension on rollers.
• Set the proper welding parameters (voltage and wire speed).
• Demonstrate competency in GMAW techniques with solid wire on aluminum in the Flat, Horizontal and Vertical Fillet Positions.
• Demonstrate competency in post-welding treatment (e.g., brushing, cleaning, straightening, and ensuring weld quality).

Education and Experience Requirements:

• High School Diploma or GED equivalent.
• Minimum 1 year of experience with aluminum welds and the ability to pass a Welding Performance Test conducted on-site during the interview process (Q.A. determination).
• Must demonstrate the ability to safely lift 40 lbs. on a repetitive basis.
• Must be able to stand on hard surfaces for 8 hours or more per day.
• Must be able to work in non-climate-controlled temperatures for 8 hours or more per day.

Preferred Skills and Qualifications:

• Technical training with a focus in welding (preferred).
