Job description

MUST BE 18 YEARS OLD

INTRODUCTION: This position reports to the Welding Supervisor and Welding Lead. It is responsible for fulfilling all assigned duties with authority delegated according to responsibilities.

ROBOT WELDER: Performs duties related to robotic welding of parts for production.

AREAS OF RESPONSIBILITY: Include, but are not limited to:

1. Welding parts according to schedule and Work Instruction (WI) specifications.
2. Verifying first-piece inspection with Quality.
3. Hammer-stamping all produced products.
4. Counting and labeling products correctly.
5. Performing preventative maintenance and housekeeping duties in the welding area as required.
6. Meeting or exceeding efficiency rates.
7. Maintaining quality welding standards.
8. Removing non-conforming material at the end of the shift.
9. Performing any additional duties assigned that are logically and properly inherent to the position.

REQUIREMENTS:

1. High School diploma or GED completion.
2. Previous MIG welding experience preferred.
3. Ability to safely stand, twist, lift, bend, stoop, reach, and kneel daily while performing work.
4. Ability to follow and strictly adhere to Work Instructions (WI).
5. Ability to work safely and productively while wearing OSHA PPE.
6. Dependable, motivated, self-driven, with excellent attendance.
7. High attention to detail.
8. Ability to correctly and safely use handheld and power tools.
9. Must pass visual and penetration standards as determined by supervision.
10. Ability to read and understand blueprints accurately.
11. Capable of working in a fast-paced manufacturing environment and rotating among various machines.
12. Ability and dexterity to work with parts of varying weights and sizes in all welding department areas.
13. Mechanically inclined.
14. Ability to learn and comply with JOST Basic Processes and Safety, Environmental, and Quality standards, policies, and procedures.
15. Legible reading and writing skills as per company standards.

PHYSICAL REQUIREMENTS:

1. Work performed in a manufacturing setting.
2. Regularly standing 8–10 hours, walking, seeing, hearing, using hands, reaching, stooping, bending, twisting, and occasionally lifting objects weighing between 41 and 51 pounds.
