ColonialWebb Contractors Company is hiring a Welder Helper to support the fabrication team in Richmond, VA.

You will assist with layout and fabrication of piping systems for industrial applications, following specifications and codes, and work a daytime schedule in a fabrication shop environment.

Qualifications

• Knowledge of pipefitting or willingness to learn.
• Ability to read basic measurements and use math in job tasks.
• Ability to work in a fabrication shop and follow safety rules.

Responsibilities

• Assist with selecting type and size of pipe and materials according to the product being fabricated.
• Assist with cutting pipe using pipe cutters, saws, torch, and other tools.
• Assist with threading pipe and joining piping using various joint methods.
• Operate a shop forklift to move equipment, materials, and supplies as needed.
