Job summary

ColonialWebb in Richmond, VA is seeking an experienced Welder/Fitter to lay out, fabricate, assemble, install and weld piping systems for steam, hot water, heating, cooling, lubricating, and industrial processing systems.

You will work from drawings and specifications using MIG, TIG, and Stick welding, selecting pipe types and materials, and planning installation sequences while ensuring safety and quality.

Qualifications

• MIG/TIG/Stick welding experience required.
• Ability to read and interpret drawings/submittals.
• Knowledge of welding rods/fluxes and metallurgy.

Responsibilities

• Weld pipes and metal fixtures using MIG, TIG, and Stick methods.
• Determine equipment and welding method per job specs.
• Plan installation sequences and coordinate with other trades.
• Assemble and install pipe and fittings, secure to structures.
• Test piping systems for leaks and inspect with gauges.
• Assist with cutting and fitting pipes as needed.
