Job summary

nVent is seeking skilled welders to join our team in Hitchcock, TX. You will perform flux core and arc welding, read blueprints, inspect welded joints, and maintain welding equipment.

The role requires strict adherence to safety procedures and collaboration with the team to meet project specs and timelines. Qualified candidates are certified welders in GMAW and FCAW, with AWS D1.1 compliance and strong attention to detail.

WHAT WILL YOU EXPERIENCE IN THIS POSITION:

• Perform welding operations using flux core and arc welding.
• Read and interpret blueprints, schematics, and technical drawings.
• Inspect and test welded joints to ensure they meet quality standards.
• Maintain and repair welding equipment and tools.
• Follow safety protocols and guidelines to ensure a safe working environment.
• Collaborate with other team members to complete projects on time and within specifications.

YOU HAVE:

• Structural steel flux core with the standards of AWS D1.1 and CWB qualifications
• Certified welder in both GMAW and FCAW
• Cutting accurately with torches and plasma cuter
• Ability to read and interpret blueprints and technical drawings.
• Strong attention to detail and commitment to quality.
• Excellent problem-solving skills and ability to work independently.
• Good communication and teamwork skills.

Physical Requirements:

• Ability to lift and carry heavy objects.
• Comfortable working in various positions, including standing, bending, and kneeling.
• Willingness to work in different environments, including outdoor and confined spaces.
