Job summary

Eddie Kane Steel Products in the United States seeks a full-time Welder/Fitter to perform MIG/FCAW welding on structural steel and assemblies, read drawings, lay out and fit components, and ensure quality through inspection and proper heat control.

You will work with cranes and fabrication equipment in a safety-conscious shop environment, communicate with supervisors and teammates, and maintain production pace while meeting print requirements and quality standards.

Qualifications

• Prior welding and fitting experience in fabrication or structural steel.
• Ability to read and interpret drawings, weld symbols, and cut sheets.
• Strong attention to layout, fit-up, dimensions, and workmanship.
• Working knowledge of MIG/FCAW welding and related tools.
• Ability to lift up to 75 pounds and work in a fabrication environment.

Responsibilities

• Read drawings and interpret weld symbols before starting work.
• Lay out, fit, square, and tack components per prints.
• Perform MIG/FCAW welding on various steel components.
• Prepare material by grinding, cleaning, and beveling as needed.
• Inspect welds for quality, accuracy, and correct heat control.
