Eddie Kane Steel Products is seeking a full-time Welder/Fitter to join our fabrication team in Ohio. You will read drawings, lay out and fit components, and perform MIG/FCAW welding on structural steel and assemblies, ensuring quality and safety in a fast-paced shop.

Ideal candidates have 2–3 years of welding/fitting experience, ability to interpret prints, and a high school diploma or equivalent. The role requires physical work including lifting up to 75 pounds and working around cranes and

Formación

• Welding and fitting experience in fabrication/structural steel/manufacturing.
• Ability to read drawings, weld symbols, cut sheets, and work orders.
• Strong attention to detail in layout, fit-up, squareness, and workmanship.
• 2-3 years of welding/fitting experience preferred.

Responsabilidades

• Read and interpret drawings, weld symbols, cut sheets, and work orders before fabrication.
• Lay out, fit, square, level, and tack components per print requirements.
• Verify dimensions, hole locations, part orientation, and overall fit-up before welding.
• Perform MIG/FCAW welding on structural components and fabricated assemblies.
• Prepare material for welding by grinding, cleaning, beveling, deburring, and removing slag or scale.
• Move material safely using overhead cranes, forklifts, and rigging equipment.
• Inspect own work for weld quality, straightness, and overall workmanship.
