Job summary

Qualdoc in Ashland, VA is seeking a Welder/Fitter for the first shift. The role starts at $23.00 per hour with higher rates possible based on experience. The position is full-time with a contract-to-hire path.

You will read engineering drawings, operate welding and metal forming equipment, and ensure safety and quality standards are met. Key tasks include inspecting outputs, maintaining a clean workspace, and adhering to QMS procedures.

Qualifications

• Experience in Fluxcore MIG welding.
• Ability to pass a flat 1G weld test (3G preferred).
• Strong understanding of engineering drawings and blueprints.
• Proficiency with inspection tools (micrometers, calipers, rulers).
• Basic math skills and excellent attention to detail.
• Strong communication skills and dependability.
• Ability to use square, tape measure, Bessey clamps, reachovers, levels, hammer.
