Job summary

Lingo Staffing is hiring a Welder/Fitter for its Roanoke, VA partner on 2nd shift. The role features Fluxcore welding and fabrication experience, with a pay rate of $26/hour and a Monday-Thursday schedule 3:30pm-3:00am, with weekends/overtime as required.

You will read blueprints, weld to AWS symbols, fit components, and inspect welds to meet quality standards in a fast-paced production environment. Candidates must pass written and hands-on tests on site and be able to lift 50-100 lbs and work

Key Responsibilities:

• Perform Fluxcore welding (1/16\") on sheet metal and structural components
• Fit and assemble metal components using blueprints, technical drawings, and specifications
• Interpret and apply AWS weld symbols accurately
• Operate welding equipment, grinders, and hand tools safely and efficiently
• Inspect welds to ensure quality, structural integrity, and production standards
• Maintain productivity and safety standards in a high-volume manufacturing environment

Requirements:

• Proven experience as a Structural Steel Welder, Fluxcore Welder, and/or Fitter
• Strong proficiency with Fluxcore welding (1/16\")
• Ability to read blueprints and interpret weld symbols
• Ability to lift 50-100 lbs repeatedly
• Basic math skills and computer proficiency
• Experience using hand tools in a manufacturing or production setting
• Ability to stand and walk for the duration of the shift
• Comfortable working in a non-climate-controlled environment
• Must be able to pass a written welding test and hands-on weld test at the client site
