Job summary

PlayCore Holdings, Inc. is seeking a skilled welder to fabricate and weld steel parts to blueprint specifications in a production environment in Michigan. The role requires reading blueprints, measuring materials, and welding with MIG equipment to meet strict tolerances.

The ideal candidate will have a high school diploma or equivalent and formal training as a structural welder. Minimal to no travel is expected, and safety and quality are emphasized in daily tasks.

Qualifications

Responsibilities

• Fabricate and weld steel parts according to blueprint specifications.

• Assemble and weld structures, sub-assemblies and be responsible for filing, burr-ing and welding.

Job description

The primary purpose of this position is to Fabricate and Weld steel parts according to blueprint specifications. Welders are called to use specialized equipment to weld and assemble new metal forms.

Essential Duties and Responsibilities

• Manufacture and fabricate finished metal products
• Follow blueprints to meet product specifications
• Calculate material measurements to verify specifications
• Conduct tests to evaluate weld quality and tolerance
• Assemble and weld structures, sub-assemblies and be responsible for filing, burring and welding

Other Requirements

• Ability to perform MIG welding thin gauge, mild steel and other weld-able material by applying appropriate welding techniques
• Able to read and understand a tape measure, weld symbols and welding gauges
• Must be able to interpret blueprint specifications, diagrams or schematics to determine and apply appropriate welding processes
