As a Fabricator/Welder, you will be responsible for fabricating and welding various metal components used in commercial door frames and related structures. The ideal candidate will possess strong welding skills, attention to detail, and the ability to work with various metal types and gauges. This role requires precision, efficiency, and a commitment to producing high-quality products.

Duties And Responsibilities

• Interpret blueprints, drawings, and specifications to determine fabrication requirements.
• Fabricate and weld metal components such as door frames, hinges, thresholds, and other related structures.
• Measure and cut metal using various tools and equipment, ensuring accuracy and adherence to specifications.
• Operate welding equipment such as MIG, TIG, and ARC welders to join metal pieces together.
• Conduct quality inspections of fabricated components to ensure they meet company standards and customer requirements.
• Follow safety protocols and guidelines to maintain a safe work environment.
• Collaborate with team members to meet production schedules and deadlines.
• Maintain equipment and tools in good working condition, performing regular maintenance and repairs as needed.
• Communicate effectively with supervisors, coworkers, and other departments to coordinate workflow and address any issues or concerns.
• Participate in training programs and stay updated on industry trends and advancements in fabrication and welding techniques.

Education And Experience

• High school diploma or equivalent; additional technical training or certification in welding and fabrication is preferred.
• Proven experience as a welder/fabricator in the commercial door and frame industry or a related field.
• Proficiency in reading and interpreting blueprints, drawings, and specifications.
• Strong welding skills with experience using MIG, TIG, and ARC welding techniques.
• Ability to work with various metal types and gauges, including steel, aluminum, and stainless steel.
  
  

Physical Requirements

• Good physical condition with the ability to lift heavy objects and perform repetitive tasks.
• Must be able to lift up to 15 pounds at times.
  
  

Total Compensation Target: Starting at $20.00/HR
