Martin Sprocket & Gear, Inc. in the Lehigh Valley area is seeking a Welder / Fabricator for 2nd shift (Mon-Thu, 2:30 PM–1:00 AM). You will operate metalworking machines, fabricate metal parts, read blueprints, weld and assemble components, and perform quality inspections to meet exacting specifications.

Ideal candidates show mechanical aptitude, safety awareness, physical stamina, and teamwork. The role requires reliability, the ability to work in a non-climate-controlled shop, and adherence to

Qualifications

• Experience operating metalworking equipment and performing basic fabrication tasks.
• Ability to read simple instructions and blueprints, and follow established procedures.
• Understanding of safety rules and PPE usage in a manufacturing environment.
• Capability to lift heavy items and stand for long portions of the shift.
• Good attendance and reliability, with the ability to work a 2nd shift schedule.

Responsibilities

• Operate metalworking machines such as shears, presses, and grinders to shape parts.
• Cut, shape, and assemble metal components using hand and power tools.
• Read and interpret blueprints to fabricate parts per design.
• Weld, braze, or solder metal parts using appropriate techniques.
• Inspect finished products for defects and ensure quality standards.
• Maintain and clean tools and equipment for safety and reliability.
• Keep the work area clean, organized, and safe for production.
• Follow safety guidelines and wear appropriate PPE at all times.
• Provide cross-departmental support as needed to help operations.
