Martin Sprocket & Gear, Inc. in Mansfield, TX is seeking skilled welders to join our manufacturing team. The role focuses on MIG welding, following process sheets and blueprints to produce precise components for mechanical power transmission systems.

Candidates should have MIG welding experience, knowledge of Flux Core a plus, and the ability to read English instructions, operate grinding tools and a crane, and maintain clean, safe workspaces on a 2nd shift from 3:00 PM to 1:00 AM.

Formación

• MIG welding experience in a manufacturing setting or technical schooling.
• Flux Core welding experience is a plus.
• Ability to read and understand English instructions and logs.

Responsabilidades

• MIG weld to join metal parts following specifications.
• Follow process sheets, blueprints, or supervisor instructions.
• Move and handle heavy parts with or without a crane.
• Inspect welds and finish as required with grinding tools.
• Keep machines and workspace clean, safe, and maintained.
• Inspect finished work for tolerances and quality.
• Provide cross-functional support as needed.

What You’ll Do:

• MIG Welding: Perform MIG welding to join metal parts, ensuring quality and adherence to specifications.
• Production Task Execution: Follow process sheets, blueprints, or verbal instructions from the supervisor to complete production tasks accurately.
• Material Handling: Maneuver large or heavy parts manually or with the assistance of a crane, as required.
• Weld Inspection & Finishing: Inspect welds throughout the process for quality, using grinding tools as necessary to achieve desired finishes.
• Machine & Workspace Maintenance: Keep machines and work areas clean and adhere to safety protocols.
• Quality Control: Inspect finished work to ensure it meets predetermined tolerances and standards.
• Cross-Functional Support: Assist in other areas or departments as assigned to meet production needs.

What You’ll Bring:

• MIG Welding Experience: Prior experience in MIG welding within a manufacturing environment or equivalent technical schooling is required.
• Additional Welding Skills: Experience with Flux Core welding is a plus.
• Tool Proficiency: Familiarity with grinding tools, drill presses, and ironwork is advantageous.
• Communication & Documentation: Basic oral communication skills; ability to read and understand written instructions in English and complete basic logs and reports in English.
• Physical Capability: Physically able to lift, push, pull, and position heavy components as required.
• Attendance & Compliance: Ability to work scheduled hours and adhere to company timekeeping and all other policies.
• Shift Endurance: Ability to consistently stand for the entire duration of the shift in a non-climate-controlled environment.
• Mechanical Knowledge: General mechanical knowledge is beneficial.
• Team Orientation: Able to work cooperatively with others and contribute as a team player.
• Attention to Detail: Demonstrates accuracy and reliability in all tasks.

Your Schedule:

• 2nd Shift - Monday - Thursday 3:00 PM - 1:00 AM
