Job summary

Martin Sprocket & Gear in Mansfield, TX is seeking skilled Welders to join our 2nd shift. You will perform MIG welding, follow process sheets or blueprints, and handle heavy parts with safety.

The role includes weld inspection, finishing, routine machine maintenance, and cross-functional support in a manufacturing environment. The position requires MIG welding experience, English literacy for instructions and logs, and physical ability to lift heavy components.

Qualifications

• MIG welding experience in a manufacturing environment or equivalent schooling required.
• Flux Core welding experience is a plus.
• Ability to read and understand written instructions in English and complete logs/reports in English.
• Must be physically able to lift, push, pull, and position heavy components.
• Willingness to work scheduled hours and comply with company policies.

Responsibilities

• MIG Welding: Perform MIG welding to join metal parts following specifications.
• Production task execution: Follow process sheets or blueprints to complete tasks.
• Material handling: Move large/heavy parts as required, with crane aid if needed.
• Weld inspection & finishing: Inspect welds and grind as necessary for finishes.
• Machine & workspace maintenance: Keep areas clean and follow safety protocols.
• Quality control: Inspect finished work to meet tolerances and standards.
• Cross-functional support: Assist other areas/departments as needed.
