Job summary

Martin Sprocket & Gear is seeking a Welder/Fabricator for 2nd shift (4 days, 10 hours). You will operate metalworking machines, fabricate parts from blueprints, and weld or assemble components to exact specifications.

The role requires reading drawings, maintaining tools, and following safety procedures in a non-climate-controlled shop. Ideal candidates have experience with hydraulic presses, strong math and communication skills, and a dependable, team-oriented work style.

Qualifications

• Experience operating hydraulic presses in a manufacturing environment.
• Ability to read and follow English instructions and complete basic logs/reports.
• Able to lift heavy items and stand for the shift.
• Willing to work in a non-climate-controlled shop environment.
• Reliable attendance and adherence to policies.

Responsibilities

• Machine operation: operate metalworking machines to shape parts.
• Fabrication: cut, shape, and assemble metal components.
• Blueprint interpretation: read blueprints and drawings to fabricate parts.
• Welding and assembly: weld/braze/solder parts as required.
• Inspection: inspect products for defects and ensure quality.
• Maintenance: maintain and clean tools/equipment for safety.
• Housekeeping: keep work areas clean and safe.
• Safety: follow PPE requirements and safety procedures.
• Cross-department support: assist other areas as needed.
