Job Description

Bio Fab Technologies is a custom stainless-steel fabricator that manufactures equipment for the Food and Pharmaceutical industries. With our continued growth, we are looking to add an impact player to our team as a Welder-Fabricator.

This role involves welding and fabricating parts, assemblies, and weldments according to specifications and company standards. The primary responsibility is fitting and welding stainless steel parts using a TIG process, where structurally sound and high-quality welds are essential for the performance of the welded assembly/weldment.

Note: This position is NOT at our headquarters in Pleasant Prairie, WI; it is located at our customer’s site in Waukegan, IL.

Job Responsibilities

• Lead capacity welder-fabricator may be responsible for training and developing new employees.
• Pipe fitting
• Fitting & Tacking pieces into the weldment—measuring, clamping, and tack welding.
• Perform TIG Welding (GWAT), primarily using TIG process.
• Participate in safety programs and adhere to all safety policies and rules.
• Perform other duties as assigned.
• Ensure welds are aesthetically pleasing and structurally sound to meet customer satisfaction and ensure quality 'fit and finish'.

Physical Requirements

• Ability to drive a passenger vehicle.
• Exposure to hazards typical in a metal fabrication/welding environment, including noise levels exceeding 85 dB, temperature extremes, fumes, and odors.
• Constant standing, with work involving climbing, working in awkward positions, reaching, bending, and stooping.
• Routine lifting of less than 10 lbs, occasionally up to 30 lbs.
• Periodic work on stairs, elevators, ladders, and in confined spaces.
