Welder/Fabricator

Summary:

The right candidate will:

1. Perform welding operations including arc, MIG, TIG, brazing, and burning in all positions on various metals.
2. Operate drill presses for fabrication purposes.
3. Record measurements and pertinent information as required.
4. Weld according to SMAW, GMAW, GTAW standards in vertical up, vertical down, and horizontal positions.
5. Use plasma arc and air carbon arc cutting techniques.
6. Perform pipe bending, fitting, welding, and threading.
7. Operate horizontal and vertical saws, torches, and cut-off wheels.
8. Set up and operate all welding and fabrication machines, with basic troubleshooting skills.

Requirements:

• GED or High School Diploma.
• Basic mechanical knowledge.
• Ability to follow instructions and established procedures.
• Ability to read and interpret prints, including welding drawings.
