Join to apply for the Welder-Fabricator role at LAMMCO

We are seeking a skilled Fabricator/Welder to join our team. The ideal candidate will have experience in metal fabrication and welding processes, ensuring high-quality production standards are met. While 80% of work is onsite, the candidate must have flexibility to move to construction sites to install products in the local area, as required.

This job is perfect for someone that wants a first shift opportunity that keeps them in Lafayette and enjoys varying tasks each day. All welding skill levels are welcome to apply. Two years or more experience preferred.

Responsibilities:

• Interpret and work from drawings, blueprints, and specifications
• Fabricate and weld metal components using various techniques
• Assemble parts to build structures according to specifications
• Conduct onsite installations in an industrial setting
• May be required to complete additional non-welding tasks such as shop cleaning and organization, furniture or equipment assembly and installation.

Required Skills / Experience:

• Familiarity with various welding techniques
• Proven experience from basic to advanced MIG Welding
• Must be mechanically inclined
• Must be a self-starter with the basic understanding of tools
• Must have an ability to lift items greater than 75 lbs.
• Must have a valid U.S. driver’s license and be able to pass a criminal background check
• Prefer proficiency in reading schematics and technical drawings

Hours: Mon-Fri (07:00a – 3:30p)

Expected Hours: 40 per week

Shift: Primarily 8-hour shift / Day shift, in-person work only (not remote)

Benefits: Paid Time Off (PTO), IRA contributions both begin immediately

Job Type: Full-time

Pay: $21.00 - $23.00 per hour (paid weekly)
