Title : Senior Welder
Location: Denver, CO
Avenue of hire: Direct placement/permanent placement, full-time
Pay: $23-30/hour

Required Qualifications:

• 5-7+ years’ hands-on welding experience
• Strong mechanical aptitude
• Ability to read and interpret engineering blueprints and 3D models
• Intermediate computer skills, including knowledge of Microsoft Office and MRP systems
• Willing to work flexible hours, including occasional weekends/holidays as needed

Preferred/Plusses:

• Prior work with related industries, equipment, and machinery, including centrifugal pumps and compressors, rotating equipment, oil/gas sector, etc.

Position Overview:
A client in North Denver is hiring an Intermediate Welder to start immediately. The ideal candidate will have 5+ years’ welding experience and be highly mechanically inclined. This person must also be self-motivated, energetic about their work and able to work autonomously as well as with others and maintain attention to detail.

Day-to-day:

• Assemble highly engineered centrifugal pumps and compressors
• Execute testing protocols for pumps and compressors and analyze test data
• Interface with engineering teams, customers, and inspectors
• Must be knowledgeable of GTAW (Gas Tungsten Arc Welding) or TIG (Tungsten Inert Gas) welding
• Achieve precision pipe fitting and tube bending
• Fit and assemble pipe, tubing, and components (large and small)
• Assemble complete equipment builds (unit and kit) following engineered blueprints
• Conduct component and system testing
• Maintain consistent and timely communication with management on daily tasks related to job status, backlog, and any machine/tooling issues
