Job Overview

ARC Steel Enterprises is actively seeking a highly skilled and certified Welder/Fabricator to join our high-performance team in the commercial steel fabrication industry. This position is ideal for a detail-oriented tradesperson who excels in custom metal work and thrives in a fast-paced shop environment. We're looking for someone with the precision, experience, and certification (AWS D1.1) to contribute to high-quality, project-based fabrication from day one.

Responsibilities Include, But Not Limited To

  • Interpret and work from blueprints, shop drawings, and specifications.
  • Cut, fit, and weld structural and architectural steel components.
  • Perform MIG/Flux welding per AWS D1.1 standards.
  • Fabricate components using tools such as saws, torches, shears, and grinders.
  • Inspect welds and ensure quality control before final assembly.
  • Collaborate with the shop team and project managers to meet deadlines.
  • Operate forklifts, and other shop equipment safely.
  • Maintain a clean and organized workstation.
  • Comply with all safety guidelines and OSHA regulations.
  • Continuously improve welding and fabrication techniques through training and on-the-job learning.

Qualifications

  • Must be able to pass AWS D1.1 Certification.
  • Understanding of AISC standards a plus
  • Minimum 3 years of welding and fabrication experience in a commercial or structural steel environment.
  • Ability to read and interpret complex blueprints and fabrication drawings.
  • Proficient in MIG/Flux welding techniques.
  • Familiarity with piece layout, fitting, and finishing.
  • Strong attention to detail and commitment to precision.
  • Ability to lift heavy materials and stand for long periods.
  • Positive attitude, self-motivated, and capable of working independently or as part of a team.
