We are looking for a dependable and hardworking individual to join our team as a production fabricator. This role offers opportunities to learn new skills, meet new people, and work in a positive, motivating environment with extensive on-the-job training and coaching.

You will fabricate and assemble in our shop, engaging in repair, remanufacture, and maintenance of magnet systems/parts using various tools and machines, including drill presses, grinders, welding machines, and more. The role requires interpreting blueprints, drawings, and instructions, and understanding project scope and requirements. Responsibilities

• Weld (carbon, manganese, and stainless steel) and fabricate industrial lifting magnets in compliance with AWS standards.
• Cut (plasma arc/torch), clean, and prepare all welding materials.
• Review work orders and gather necessary materials.
• Read prints, lay out, and fabricate according to specifications.
• Prepare, construct, and finish welds.
• Operate a wide range of hand, power, and industrial tools.
• Evaluate processes and recommend improvements for productivity and quality.
• Complete QC documents as required.
• Follow all safety policies and procedures.
• Knowledge of painting and paint equipment is a plus.
• Willingness to learn and perform multiple skills.
• Perform other duties as assigned.

Qualifications

• Minimum of 3+ years of structural steel fabrication experience in a production shop setting.
• Certification in AWS 14.1 for SMAW (stick) and FCAW (flux core).
• Experience welding fabrications and performing weld repairs on various steel types/grades per AWS and in-house standards.
• Experience operating overhead cranes and forklifts.
• Strong communication skills, both verbal and written.
• Ability to perform physical tasks (standing, bending, lifting 50 lbs, etc.) and work well in a team environment.
