Job summary

Brunswick Corporation is seeking a Welder/Fabricator to support fabrication and welding operations. The ideal candidate will read drawings and specifications, pass a BW weld test, and commit to ongoing certification and safety standards.

Qualifications include a high school diploma, a welding certification, and a respiratory fit test within three months. The role requires lifting up to 50 lbs, and willingness to work OT or weekends as needed in a fast-paced production environment.

Qualifications

• High School Diploma or equivalent is required.
• Welding Certification from an accredited college is required.
• Respiratory Fit Test Certification must be obtained within three months of hire.
• Candidate must pass BW weld test and have welding/fabrication knowledge.
• Able to read drawings and specifications and follow safety procedures.

Responsibilities

• Perform fabrication and welding across multiple processes (MIG/TIG).
• Read drawings and specifications to ensure parts meet tolerances.
• Support production and assist as needed; be flexible for OT and weekends.
• Maintain 5S standards and contribute to continuous improvement initiatives.

POSITION: WELDER / FABRICATOR

JOB REQUIREMENTS:

The candidate must have extensive knowledge in all aspects of fabrication and welding. Candidate must either be certified or willing to get certified after 90-day probationary period and able to pass BW weld test. Candidate must be able to have flexible schedule and willing to work OT and weekends if needed and the support production as needed. Candidate must be willing to participate in continual self-improvement and improving overall job knowledge.

• High School Diploma or equivalent
• Welding Certification from accredited college.
• Respiratory Fit Test Certification, or obtain within three (3) months of hire.
• Basic computer, math, reading and measurement proficiency.
• Must be able to read drawings and specifications
• Knowledge of 5S, Kaizen and LSS preferred.
• Ability to follow established safety
• Detailed and organized.
• Self-starter, team player with a good safety awareness.
• Mig and Tig experience
• Use all fabrication and welding tools
• Ability to perform other duties as required
• Lift more than 50lbs
• Ability to operate fork lift and other heavy equipment

PHYSICAL REQUIREMENTS:

• Lift up to 30 lbs up to 60% of shift and 50 lbs up to 30% of shift; push/pull up to 30 lbs
• Walk, stand, bend, twist/turn, reach overhead and grasp tools as necessary
