Job summary

Brunswick Corporation is seeking a Welder/Fabricator in Boston. Candidates must have welding/mig/tig experience, a high school diploma or equivalent, and welding certification. OT and weekend work may be required to support production.

Safety-first mindset and the ability to read drawings are essential. Certification in respiratory fit tests or the willingness to obtain within 3 months is required. Knowledge of 5S/Kaizen/LSS is preferred.

• Respiratory Fit Test Certification, or obtain within three (3) months of hire.
• Read drawings and specifications.
• Knowledge of 5S, Kaizen and LSS preferred.
• Ability to follow established safety procedures.

Responsibilities

• Weld and fabricate as required to support production.
• Pass BW weld test.
• Maintain safety and quality in all tasks.
• Willingness to work overtime and weekends as needed.

POSITION: WELDER / FABRICATOR

JOB REQUIREMENTS

The candidate must have extensive knowledge in all aspects of fabrication and welding. Candidate must either be certified or willing to get certified after 90-day probationary period and able to pass BW weld test. Candidate must be able to have flexible schedule and willing to work OT and weekends if needed and the support production as needed. Candidate must be willing to participate in continual self-improvement and improving overall job knowledge.

JOB REQUIREMENTS

• High School Diploma or equivalent
• Welding Certification from accredited college.
• Respiratory Fit Test Certification, or obtain within three (3) months of hire.
• Basic computer, math, reading and measurement proficiency.
• Must be able to read drawings and specifications
• Knowledge of 5S, Kaizen and LSS preferred.
• Ability to follow established safety
• Detailed and organized.
• Self-starter, team player with a good safety awareness.
• Mig and Tig experience
• Use all fabrication and welding tools
• Ability to perform other duties as required
• Lift more than 50lbs
• Ability to operate fork lift and other heavy equipment

PHYSICAL REQUIREMENTS

• Lift up to 30 lbs up to 60% of shift and 50 lbs up to 30% of shift; push/pull up to 30 lbs
• Walk, stand, bend, twist/turn, reach overhead and grasp tools as necessary
