Job summary

Trillium Staffing in Dorchester, MA is seeking Welder Fabricators for direct-hire to join a precision shop focused on stainless steel and aluminum work from customer drawings.

• Produce consistent, high-quality welds appropriate to the application.

Trillium Staffing is now seeking Welder Fabricators for direct-hire in Dorchester, MA!

Hourly pay range is $33-40/hr. (based on experience).

Seeking an experienced TIG welder/fabricator for precision stainless steel and aluminum work. We’re a custom fabrication shop producing components and assemblies from customer drawings, including vacuum chambers and other work requiring clean, accurate, leak-tight welds.

We’re looking for someone who can work independently, interpret detailed fabrication drawings, and carry a job through fit-up and welding with minimal supervision.

Responsibilities

• TIG weld stainless steel and aluminum components and assemblies
• Read and interpret drawings, dimensions, tolerances, and weld requirements
• Independently lay out, fit, and assemble parts before welding
• Control distortion and maintain dimensional accuracy throughout fabrication
• Produce consistent, high-quality welds appropriate to the application
• Coordinate with the operations manager on fabrication requirements and job progress

Required experience

• 5+ years of relevant TIG welding and fabrication experience
• Strong stainless steel TIG welding skills and experience with aluminum
• Ability to fit and weld precision assemblies from drawings
• Strong attention to weld quality, cleanliness, and dimensional accuracy
• Ability to work independently in a custom fabrication/job-shop environment

Preferred experience

• Vacuum chambers, pressure vessels, or other leak-tight assemblies
• Semiconductor, aerospace, or precision equipment fabrication
• Purging/back-purging and distortion control on stainless steel assemblies
