Job summary

FAST Global Solutions is seeking a Welder for the Day Shift in Falls City, NE. The position offers a $2,500 sign-on bonus and a 5:30 am–4:00 pm schedule, Monday through Thursday with overtime on Fridays.

The role involves reading blueprints, setting welding parameters, and welding in multiple positions while ensuring weld quality. Candidates should have a high school diploma or GED and be able to stand for long shifts, lift up to 50 lbs, and work in varying temperatures.

Qualifications

• High school diploma or GED, or 1–3 months related experience.
• Basic language and math skills and reasoning ability.
• Experience with Microsoft Dynamics AX or Dynamics D365 preferred.

Responsibilities

• Reads and interprets blueprints and machine drawings to determine welding requirements.
• Connects cables from welding unit to adjust amperage, voltage, slope, and pulse as specified.
• Guides electrode or gun along weld line to achieve specified fusion and bead depth.
• Welds in flat, horizontal, vertical or overhead positions.
• Examines weld for bead size and specifications.
• Repairs broken or cracked parts and fills holes.
• Positions and clamps workpieces or assembles them in jig/fixtures.
• Selects torch, torch tip, filler ford and flux per welding chart and material.

FAST Global Solutions is seeking a Welder for our Day Shift in Falls City, NE. Sign-On Bonus of $2,500!

Our Falls City days shift runs from 5:30 am - 4:00 pm, Monday through Thursday, with overtime on Friday as needed

Job duties and responsibilities:

• Reads and interprets blueprints and machine drawings to determine specific welding requirements.
• Connects cables from welding unit to obtain amperage, voltage, slope, and pulse, as specified by engineer.
• Manually guides electrode or gun along weld line, maintaining length of arc and speed of movement to form specified depth of fusion and bead, as judged from color of metal, sound of weld and size of molten puddle.
• Welds in flat, horizontal, vertical or overhead positions.
• Examines weld for bead size and other specifications.
• Repairs broken or cracked parts and fills holes.
• Positions and clamps workpieces together or assembles them in jig or fixtures.
• Selects torch, torch tip, filler ford and flux, according to welding chart specifications or type and thickness of material.
• Tacks assemblies together.
• Chips off excess weld, slag, and spatter.
• Cleans or de-greases parts.
• Move parts in and moves finished product out of welding area.

Job Requirements:

• A qualified candidate will have a high school diploma, GED, or at least 1-3 months related experience.
• Must have basic language and math skills and reasoning ability.
• Knowledge of Microsoft Office Suite and ERP software. Experience with Microsoft Dynamics AX or Dynamics D365 is preferred.
• Must be able to stand continuously for a 10 hour shift and lift up to 50 lbs.
• Vision with depth perception is required.
• Ability to work in varying temperatures and levels of humidity.
• Personal protective equipment will be provided by FAST and must be worn in the required areas.
