Job summary

ManpowerGroup is hiring a Fitter Welder for the Valley, NE area. The role involves welding and inspecting to ensure weld soundness, using blueprints to select procedures, and maintaining tools and equipment. This is a direct hire opportunity with full-time hours and shift options.

Qualified candidates will hold welding certificates (AWS, CWB or equivalent) and can read blueprints and measurement tools. Shift options include 2nd or 3rd shift with a competitive hourly wage and benefits.

Qualifications

• Read and decipher blueprints and flat sheets to weld scheduled work.
• Pass and maintain weld certificates for AWS, CWB, and other required certifications in GMAW welding.
• Setup, operate, and perform general maintenance of equipment.

Responsibilities

Fitter Welder – $28.57 - $29.43/hr

What will you be doing?

• Weld and cleaning of welds
• Use blueprints to determine which weld procedure to use in order to assure weld soundness and integrity

What do you bring?

• Read and decipher blueprints and flat sheets without assistance and use them to properly weld scheduled work
• Pass and maintain weld certificates for AWS, CWB, and several other customers required certifications in GMAW welding
• Setup, operate, and performs general maintenance of equipment without difficulty
• Make mathematical calculation in finish welding product to the proper specifications
• Accurately read and use a tape measure, compass, micrometer, mag level, protractor, versa gauge, and caliper
