Qualifications

Responsibilities

  • Set up and operate welding equipment to weld and assemble truck bodies and hoists.
  • Read and interpret blueprints and work instructions.
  • Make welding equipment adjustments as needed for quality standards.
  • Maintain a clean, safe, and organized work environment.
  • Support continuous improvement and lean initiatives.
  • Rotate between machines and jigs as required.

What You’ll Do

As a Welder at TBEI, you’ll play a hands‑on role in building high‑quality truck bodies, hoists, and fabricated components.

Key Responsibilities
  • Set up and operate welding equipment to weld and assemble truck bodies, hoists, and fabricated parts (including robotic welding equipment, as applicable).
  • Read and interpret blueprints, work instructions, and measuring devices.
  • Make welding equipment adjustments as needed to meet quality and production standards.
  • Maintain a clean, safe, and organized work environment.
  • Support continuous improvement and lean initiatives by following process flow and remaining flexible to support team needs.
  • Rotate between machines and jigs within the job area as required by scheduling, team needs, or safety recommendations.
Skills & Qualifications
  • Ability to perform basic math for measuring, assembling, and problem‑solving.

Physical Requirements
  • Ability to manually move products and materials up to 50 pounds through regular physical activity, including climbing, lifting, carrying, pushing, pulling, and bending.
  • Ability to stand and work in various positions for several hours at a time.
  • Work is primarily performed on concrete surfaces, ladders, and inside dump bodies.
Pay & Schedule
  • Wages: $22.00–$28.00 per hour
    • $1.00/hour stainless steel premium (when applicable)
  • Pay Type: Non‑exempt, hourly (bi‑weekly pay)
  • Schedule: Four (4) 10‑hour days, Monday–Thursday
    Overtime as needed on Fridays
  • Location: On‑site – 52182 Ember Road, Lake Crystal, MN 56055
  • Travel: Minimal to none
