Job summary

Federal Signal Corporation is hiring Welders to join the DuraClass team in Tishomingo, MS. You will read blueprints, set up parts, and perform wire-feed welding on steel components while maintaining strict safety and quality standards.

We offer in-house weld certification with premium pay, weekly attendance bonuses, and $1,000 retention/referral bonuses. Recent graduates are welcome to apply; excellent attendance is required.

Qualifications

• Must pass a pre-employment welding test.
• Must be medically cleared to wear a respirator when welding stainless steel.
• Ability to read blueprints and use measuring tools.
• Recent graduates accepted; must have good attitude, basic welding skills, and willingness to learn.

Responsibilities

• Move components into place using jib boom, crane, conveyors, or manual lifting.
• Read and interpret blueprints to lay out, position, and align parts.
• Tack weld and clamp components in preparation for welding.
• Wire-feed weld on steel components.
• Ensure measurement accuracy and consistent weld quality.
• Perform routine equipment maintenance.
• Keep a clean, organized workspace.
• Maintain a strong safety mindset and prioritize safety in all work activities.
• Support Lean manufacturing and team-based improvements.

Duties:

Skills/Qualifications:

• Ability to rapidly and efficiently produce high‑quality welded parts
• Capable of reading blueprints and using measuring tools
• Recent graduates accepted. Must have good attitude, basic welding skills, and willingness to learn.
• Must be reliable and great attendance is a must
