Job summary

UTLX Manufacturing LLC is hiring a Welder B in our Alexandria, VA facility. You will support tank car fabrication by performing welding operations, reading blueprints, and following procedures with a strong emphasis on safety.

Qualified candidates have 2+ years of welding experience and can pass SMAW and GMAW tests. You will operate and position tanks and components, assemble flanges, and ensure precise measurements throughout the process.

Qualifications

• Minimum 2 years of welding experience.
• Pass required welding tests SMAW and GMAW.
• Read and follow blueprints, welding procedures and tape measure usage.
• Operate machinery to position and assemble tanks and large components.
• Assemble flange and fabricate components for tank cars.

Responsibilities

• Perform welding operations per level of certification to fabricate and attach components.
• Position, roll and move tanks and large components in TEAM environment emphasizing safety.
• Check angle measurements and adjust parts to secure assemblies.
• Follow blueprints and welding procedures for consistent quality.
