Qualifications

• Must pass the welding test per company.
• Demonstrated mechanical aptitude.
• Ability to read safety rules and manuals.

Responsibilities

• Welds tank car components including tanks and underframes.
• Performs welded repairs with air arc cutting torch and welding equipment.
• Uses hand tools to chip and grind welds and remove defects.
• Repairs and reworks car parts such as brakes, underframes, and couplers.
• Maintains clean, safe work area and reports hazards.
