Responsibilities:

1. Read blueprints and drawings, take/read measurements for layout and procedures.
2. Set up components for welding according to specifications.
3. Operate angle grinders to prepare parts for weld.
4. Test and inspect welded surfaces and structure to discover flaws.
5. Maintain equipment in a condition that does not compromise safety.
6. Measure, mark, and scribe dimensions and reference points for guides.
7. Use precision measuring instruments.
8. Operate hand tools and other shop equipment such as grinders, positioners, turn-rolls, etc.
9. Weld multiple materials utilizing numerous weld processes.
10. Perform material handling functions using fork trucks, overhead cranes, etc.
11. Monitor and maintain proper cleanliness of machines and work area. Communicate with co-workers and team leaders.
12. Iron Workers / Connectors - Connecting structural steel components.
13. Ability to operate telehandlers and aerial work platforms.

Requirements:

1. Proven experience as a welder for a minimum of 2 years.
2. Experience in using electrical or manual tools.
3. Ability to read and interpret technical documents and drawings.
4. Possible travel.
