Job Overview

Warner Bodies manufactures utility truck bodies, rescue vehicles, and custom truck bodies in Elwood, Indiana. We are seeking experienced aluminum and steel welders for our 3rd shift.

Responsibilities & Duties

1. Read and interpret blueprints and drawings prior to starting projects.
2. Source and prepare materials for welding.
3. Measure and cut materials to specifications.
4. Weld materials using appropriate techniques.
5. Inspect finished work for quality and adherence to specifications.
6. Complete necessary paperwork accurately.
7. Work efficiently while maintaining safety and quality standards.
8. Maintain a clean and safe work environment.

Skills & Experience

• At least 1 year of steel & aluminum welding experience (preferred).
• Minimum of 3 years of experience in a manufacturing environment.
• Ability to read blueprints.
• Knowledge of metallurgy.
• Experience with TIG & MIG welding (preferred).
• Ability to follow verbal and written instructions.
• Excellent communication skills.
