Job summary

Bastian Automation is seeking a Welder for the 3rd shift to weld and fit parts for material equipment projects. The role includes fabrication, assembly, painting, and shop maintenance with a focus on maintaining tolerances per prints.

Ideal candidates have 1–2 years of welding/fitting experience, MIG welding is preferred, and a high school diploma or GED. Overtime and safety protocols apply.

Qualifications

• Relevant welding experience required. MIG welding is preferred.
• Positive attitude, able to handle tense situations that arise.
• Team player, able to take direction.
• General knowledge of fabrication equipment including horizontal saws, lathes, mills, and drill presses.

Responsibilities

• Build high quality welded parts from blueprints with low rejection rate.
• Work from sketches/drawings to produce parts from sheet metal, plate, bar stock, and aluminum.
• Keep workspace in a neat and organized order.
• Show up to work every day on time. Sunday to Thurs 10:30 pm to 7 am
• Maintain a positive attitude.
• Overtime required when necessary.
• Follow safety protocols per JSA (Job Safety Analysis).

A 3rd Shift Welder for Bastian Automation will be responsible for general welding/fitting producing weldments for material equipment projects.The main emphasis for this position is welding/fitting, other duties to include fabrication, assembly, and painting of projects as well as general repair and maintenance of Bastian Automation shop equipment.A Welder will be responsible for maintaining tolerances and dimensions specified by individual print.A Welder I will have 1-2 years of experience in the welding/fitting field.

Shift

• 3rd shift: Sunday - Thursday (10:30 PM - 7:00 AM)

Job Functions
