Job summary

Westerman, Inc. is a multi-site manufacturer serving oil, gas and nuclear industries. The Welder will set up and operate advanced welding equipment, repair defective products, and ensure work meets specifications and high quality standards.

The role requires self-motivation and the ability to multi-task while maintaining production quality. Regular attendance, safety compliance, and coordination with other departments are essential components of the job.

Qualifications

  • Welding: 1 year experience.
  • Basic safety training required.
  • Intermediate math and tape measure reading required.
  • Able to read and interpret blueprints, weld symbols and work orders.
  • Understand volts/amps and adjust accordingly.
  • Follow quality policies and troubleshoot effectively.

Responsibilities

  • Set up, operate and troubleshoot advanced welding equipment.
  • Inspect finished welds for conformance to quality standards.
  • Plan details of welding procedures and ensure safety.
  • Participate in improvement planning to increase safety, efficiency and quality.
  • Maintain attendance and coordinate with departments.
  • Other duties as assigned.

$2500 Sign on Bonus3rd Shift PositionWesterman, Inc., an employee-owned company, is a multiple site manufacturer of production and storage equipment within the oil, gas, and nuclear industries. Our equipment helps optimize well pad design, improve separation efficiency and lower overall equipment spend through high-performance surface separation and processing technology. Our equipment is setting new standards for performance and economics nationwide.SUMMARYThe Welder is responsible for set-up and operation of advanced welding equipment. This position uses expertise to solve problems and eliminate scrap, rework and downtime while effectively repairing defective products. The appearance of the repair work must be at an acceptable level and meet high quality standards. The Welder is also responsible for making sure all work is done to specification. A successful candidate is a self-motivated multi-tasker that utilizes a strong work ethic to ensure all quality levels are met.RESPONSIBILITIESRegular and punctual attendance at work is an essential job function of each position and is necessary to your individual effectiveness and that of your work group.
