Standard Iron is seeking entry‑level welders for 2nd shift and weekend shift roles in Alexandra, MN. The team focuses on precision welding, diverse metal fabrication, and delivering high‑quality results for industries such as agriculture, construction, and transportation.

We offer competitive pay ($23–$28+ per hour) with a $3,000 sign‑on bonus for 2nd and weekend shifts, plus comprehensive benefits, profit sharing, and ongoing training.

Qualifications

• Minimum of one year of MIG welding experience.
• Strong attention to detail and a steady hand.
• Ability to lift up to 50 pounds and stand for extended periods.

Responsibilities

• MIG welding on mild steel and various thicknesses.
• Produce accurate, durable components following work instructions.
• Support certification efforts such as D1.1 and D1.3 GMAW.
• Read and interpret welding blueprints and symbols.
• Use grinders and finishing tools to meet quality standards.

Available Shift:

• Both Shifts Available:
• 2nd Shift – Mon – Thursday 4:30pm – 3:00am.
• 15% differential for 2nd shift
• Weekend Shift – Friday - Sunday; 6:00am – 6:30pm
• 20% differential for weekend shift

Key Responsibilities:

• MIG Welding:Perform MIG welding on mild steel, working with materials ranging from 20 gauge to 1-inch thickness.
• High-Quality Fabrication:Produce accurate, durable components following detailed work instructions and specifications.
• Certification Support:Standard Iron supports you in achieving certifications relevant to your role, such as D1.1 GMAW and D1.3 GMAW.
• Blueprint Reading:Interpret welding symbols and blueprints to ensure accurate setups and welds.
• Tool Mastery:Utilize a variety of metal finishing tools, including grinders and abrasives, to meet our high standards.
• Safe Equipment Operation:Operate lifting devices such as cranes, positioners, magnets, and hooksefficiently, following all safety protocols.

Qualifications:

• Experience:Minimum of one year of MIG welding experience, preferred.
• Skills:Strong attention to detail, steady hand, and a true passion for quality welding work.
• Physical Stamina:Ability to handle repetitive tasks, including standing, bending, and lifting up to 50 pounds.
