Standard Iron is seeking skilled welders for our 1st shift to join a team known for precision and quality craftsmanship. You will perform MIG welding on mild steel, read blueprints, and help with certification training while maintaining a safe, efficient work environment.

Qualifications

  • Minimum of one year of MIG welding experience.
  • Attention to detail and steady hand for quality welds.
  • Ability to lift up to 50 pounds and stand for extended periods.

Responsibilities

  • MIG welding on mild steel from 20 gauge to 1 inch thickness.
  • Fabricate accurate, durable components per specifications.
  • Support certification training for D1.1 and D1.3 GMAW.
  • Read blueprints and welding symbols to ensure correct setups.
  • Operate grinders and abrasives to meet high standards.
  • Safely use cranes, positioners, magnets, and hooks.

Key Responsibilities:
  • MIG Welding: Perform MIG welding on mild steel, working with materials ranging from 20 gauge to 1-inch thickness.
  • High-Quality Fabrication: Produce accurate, durable components following detailed instructions and specifications.
  • Certification Support: Standard Iron supports you in achieving certifications, such as D1.1 GMAW and D1.3 GMAW, as part of your training.
  • Blueprint Reading: Interpret welding symbols and blueprints to ensure precise setups and welds.
  • Tool Mastery: Utilize a variety of metal finishing tools, including grinders and abrasives, to meet our high standards.
  • Safe Equipment Operation: Operate lifting devices such as cranes, positioners, magnets, and hooks safely and efficiently.
Qualifications:
  • Experience: Minimum of one year of MIG welding experience is preferred.
  • Skills: Strong attention to detail, steady hand, and a true passion for quality welding work.
  • Physical Stamina: Ability to handle repetitive tasks, including standing, bending, and lifting up to 50 pounds.
Schedule:
  • 1st Shift - Monday-Thursday 6am-4:30pm
Compensation and Benefits:
  • Competitive Pay: Earn between $24-$36/hrbased on experience and skills.
  • $2,500 sign-on bonus for 1st shift Welders and Machine Operators
