Job summary

Standard Iron is seeking skilled welders to join our 1st shift team. You will perform MIG welding on mild steel and fabricate components to precise specifications as part of a collaborative, safety‑driven environment.

Qualifications

• Minimum of one year of MIG welding experience.
• Strong attention to detail and quality welding.
• Ability to stand, bend, and lift up to 50 pounds.

Responsibilities

• MIG welding on mild steel, from 20 gauge to 1 inch thickness.
• Produce accurate, durable components per detailed work instructions and specs.
• Support certifications such as D1.1 GMAW and D1.3 GMAW.
• Read blueprints and welding symbols to ensure correct setups and welds.
• Utilize finishing tools like grinders and abrasives to meet standards.
• Operate cranes, positioners, magnets and hooks safely.

Key Responsibilities:

• MIG Welding:Perform MIG welding on mild steel, working with materials ranging from 20 gauge to 1-inch thickness.
• High-Quality Fabrication:Produce accurate, durable components following detailed work instructions and specifications.
• Certification Support:Standard Iron supports you in achieving certifications relevant to your role, such as D1.1 GMAW and D1.3 GMAW.
• Blueprint Reading:Interpret welding symbols and blueprints to ensure accurate setups and welds.
• Tool Mastery:Utilize a variety of metal finishing tools, including grinders and abrasives, to meet our high standards.
• Safe Equipment Operation:Operate lifting devices such as cranes, positioners, magnets, and hooksefficiently, following all safety protocols.

Qualifications:

• Experience:Minimum of one year of MIG welding experience, preferred.
• Skills:Strong attention to detail, steady hand, and a true passion for quality welding work.
• Physical Stamina:Ability to handle repetitive tasks, including standing, bending, and lifting up to 50 pounds.

Schedule:

• Monday – Thursday, 6:00 a.m. - 4:30 p.m.

Compensation and Benefits:

• Competitive Pay:Earn between$23- $28+based on experience and skills.
• $2,500 sign-on bonus for 1st shift Welders and Machine Operators
