Job description

Wastequip is seeking a Welder to support our manufacturing operations in Eagleville, TN. This is a full-time position offering competitive benefits, including health insurance, a 401K plan, paid vacation and sick leave, and more. The ideal candidate will have MIG welding experience in a manufacturing environment.

Shift Details

2nd shift hours: 2:30pm-11pm, with a $3 shift differential.

Responsibilities

1. Position parts in jigs or fixtures, or clamp parts along layout marks.
2. Lay out, position, and tack weld workpieces.
3. MIG weld along vertical, horizontal, and overhead lines.
4. Connect regulator valves to gas cylinders, light torch, and adjust gas flow to cut metal.
5. Inspect welds for bead size and specifications.
6. Prepare welds by scarffing or grooving.
7. Remove excess weld material, slag, or splatter.
8. Perform other duties as assigned.
9. Regularly stand, walk, reach, stoop, lift, climb, balance, kneel, crouch, or crawl.

Physical requirements include lifting up to 25 lbs regularly, up to 50 lbs frequently, and occasionally 90 lbs. Vision abilities required include distance, close, peripheral, and depth perception.

Qualifications

1. High school diploma/GED/Technical School preferred.
2. Must have MIG welding experience.
3. At least 1 year of related experience preferred.
4. Ability to read instructions, memos, and simple blueprints.
5. Knowledge of basic math, tape measure reading, fractions, and decimals.
6. Ability to follow detailed instructions.
7. Experience in a fast-paced production environment preferred.
8. Ability to pass all EHS required tests and clearances.
