Job summary

Systems, LLC., an affiliate of Chamberlain Group, is seeking a robotic welding technician to join our Malvern, AR manufacturing team. You will weld and assemble components, operate and program robotic welders, test finished parts, and maintain equipment per safety standards.

No formal degree required; at least 1 year of robotic welding experience and MIG knowledge are expected. The role requires physical effort (lift up to 50 lb) and on-site work with a comprehensive benefits package, 401k

Qualifications

• 1+ year of robotic welding experience.
• Basic knowledge of MIG welding.
• Ability to lift up to 50 pounds.
• Ability to stand, walk, and sit for extended periods.

Responsibilities

• Weld and assemble parts using hand tools, clamps, jigs, and fixtures.
• Test and inspect welded components to meet specifications.
• Operate and program robotic welding equipment.
• Set up/prepare robotic welding equipment for operation.
• Report safety issues and maintain equipment condition.
• Provide work reports to supervisors or engineering teams.

We strive to recruit the best talent in the industry and give employees opportunities for continuing education and training to help them advance in their careers.Essential Duties and Responsibilities :Weld and assemble different pieces by using hand held welding equipment such as hand tools, clamps, jigs, and fixtures; utilize different materials (plate steel, sheet steel, structural steel, and tubing)Prepare and complete work on materials by welding, cutting, grinding, and cleaning metalTest and inspect welded components to ensure they meet set specifications before moving to the next departmentWork from different specifications and shop ordersUtilize ruler, square, templates, and gauges to take and read measurementsOperate cranes, hoists, and lift tablesReport damages on machines and equipment; maintain equipment in a condition that does not compromise safetyReport all unsafe conditions to managementMonitor/control the robotic welding processOperate robotic welding equipment to perform welding tasksPerform visual inspection of weld qualityProgram robotic welding systemsProvide work reports/feedback to supervisors or engineering teamsSet up/prepare robotic welding equipment for operationTroubleshoot/resolve and recover from potential technical issues that may arisePerforms other duties and/or responsibilities as assigned by supervisorComply with health and safety guidelines and rules; managers should also ensure compliance across their teams.Protect Chamberlain Group’s and Systems’ reputation by keeping information confidential.Maintain professional and technical knowledge by attending educational workshops, reading professional publications, establishing personal networks, and participating in professional societies.Contribute to the team effort by accomplishing related results and participating on projects as neededMinimum QualificationsNo minimum education required1+ year of robotic welding experience requiredBasic knowledge of MIG welding, handheld plasma machines and cutting torches using cutting steel, acetylene and other cutting methodsBasic knowledge of welding techniques, material characteristics, and structural fundamentalsAbility to lift up to 50 pounds and push/pull up to 100 poundsAbility to stand, walk, and sit upAbility to use hand to finger, handle, or feelAbility to climb or balanceAbility to stoop, kneel, bend, crouch, or crawlAbility to reach with hands and armsAbility to talk or hear#LI-Onsite#LI-JE1The pay rate for this position is $21.50/hr. Base pay offered may vary depending on a number of factors including, but not limited to, the position offered, location, education, training, and/or experience. In addition to base pay, also offered is a comprehensive benefits package and 401k contribution (all benefits are subject to eligibility requirements).
