Responsible for welding complex assemblies that meet station planning and customer specifications.
- Set up of weld fixtures and tooling fixtures to prepare to weld complex assemblies.
- Use metal finishing tools, basic hand tools, and precise measuring equipment such as pneumatic angle grinders, calipers, pie tapes, and micrometers to achieve station planning specifications and finish products.
- Print station planning documents, record throughput, and complete routers and manufacturing orders accurately and completely.
- Maintain safety standards and complete daily/weekly 6S assignments.
- Keep the work area and surrounding environment clean and safe to pass safety regulations.
- Assist others in the department as needed.
- Perform other duties as assigned.
Qualifications:
- Minimum of 1-2 years of experience in a manufacturing environment in a welding capacity.
- Welding certification or working toward certification.
- Ability to understand and follow company and customer specifications.
- Ability to regulate controls on all utilized equipment.
- Proficient in operating pneumatic hand grinders, basic hand tools, overhead cranes, welders (GTAW), pedestal grinders, resistance welders, vise clamps, and drills.
- Experience welding various metal materials.
- Deep knowledge of GTAW and other welding practices and equipment.
- Ability to read and follow station planning and blueprints.
- Knowledge of and ability to operate precision measuring equipment.
- Effective communication skills with all levels of employees.
- Strong organizational and time management skills.
- Ability to work in a challenging, schedule-driven environment.
- Ability to plan and perform complex work processes.
