Job description

Responsible for welding complex assemblies that meet station planning and customer specifications.

1. Set up of weld fixtures and tooling fixtures to prepare to weld complex assemblies.
2. Use metal finishing tools, basic hand tools, and precise measuring equipment such as pneumatic angle grinders, calipers, pie tapes, and micrometers to achieve station planning specifications and finish products.
3. Print station planning documents, record throughput, and complete routers and manufacturing orders accurately and completely.
4. Maintain safety standards and complete daily/weekly 6S assignments.
5. Keep the work area and surrounding environment clean and safe to pass safety regulations.
6. Assist others in the department as needed.
7. Perform other duties as assigned.

Qualifications:

• Minimum of 1-2 years of experience in a manufacturing environment in a welding capacity.
• Welding certification or working toward certification.
• Ability to understand and follow company and customer specifications.
• Ability to regulate controls on all utilized equipment.
• Proficient in operating pneumatic hand grinders, basic hand tools, overhead cranes, welders (GTAW), pedestal grinders, resistance welders, vise clamps, and drills.
• Experience welding various metal materials.
• Deep knowledge of GTAW and other welding practices and equipment.
• Ability to read and follow station planning and blueprints.
• Knowledge of and ability to operate precision measuring equipment.
• Effective communication skills with all levels of employees.
• Strong organizational and time management skills.
• Ability to work in a challenging, schedule-driven environment.
• Ability to plan and perform complex work processes.
