Job summary

Miller Industries is seeking a welder for on-site fabrication and assembly of towing and recovery equipment in Tennessee. You will perform MIG welding, read AWS blueprints, and ensure health and safety standards while working a 4-on-4-off schedule.

Position involves standing for long periods, lifting up to 50 pounds, and working day shifts in a climate-controlled plant with opportunities for training and career advancement.

Qualifications

  • High school diploma, GED, or equivalent education and experience.
  • One to three months of related experience or training.
  • Must be able to work a 4‑on, 4‑off schedule.
  • Ability to read AWS blueprints and perform health‑and‑safety compliance.

Responsibilities

  • Position parts in jigs or fixtures on bench or floor, or clamp parts together along layout marks.
  • Examine weld for bead size and other specifications.
  • Repair broken or cracked metal objects, fill holes, and build up metal parts.
  • Lay out, position, and tack‑weld workpieces.
  • Scarface or groove weld prior to applying filler metal.
  • Chip or grind off excess weld, slag, or spatter.
  • Clean or degrease parts.
  • Perform MIG welding.
  • Read AWS blueprints.
  • Perform physical aspects of the job, including climbing step ladders, bending, stooping, reaching, lifting, and standing for long periods.

$28,000 per year
