Phillips Staffing seeks a Welder for a direct-hire role with full benefits at a leading manufacturing equipment supplier. You will read blueprints and drawings, set up components for welding, and weld in various positions while inspecting finished work for quality.

Ideal candidates have 1-3 years of welding experience, proficiency with TIG/MIG/STICK, and safety-conscious approach. 1st shift; $25-$30 per hour, plus benefits.

Competenze

• Proven welder with 1-3 years of experience.
• Experience with TIG, MIG and STICK welding processes.
• Ability to read and interpret technical drawings and specs.
• Familiarity with safety standards and PPE usage.
• Certification in AWS welding is a plus.

Mansioni

Responsibilities

Read blueprints and drawings and take or read measurements to plan layout and proceduresSet up components for welding according to specificationsOperate angle grinders to prepare the parts that must be weldedAlign components using calipers, rulers etc. and clamp piecesWeld components using manual equipment in various positions (vertical, horizontal)Inspect welded surfaces and structure to discover flawsMaintain equipment in a condition that does not compromise safety

Requirements

Proven experience as welder (1-3 year)Experience using a variety of welding equipment and procedures (TIG, MIG, STICK.)Experience in using electrical or manual tools (grinders, squares, calipers etc.)Ability to read and interpret technical documents and drawingsKnowledge of relative safety standards and willingness to use protective clothing (face-shield, gloves etc.)Attention to detailProfessional Certification (e.g. an AWS welding certificate) will be a plus
