Base pay range

$25.00/hr - $31.00/hr

Job Summary

This position is accountable for performing welding set up, operations, and activities. It must demonstrate core competencies including safety, quality, production, and behavior.

Essential Duties & Responsibilities
Welder - Level I
  • Ability to MIG or TIG weld, flat and horizontal position.
  • Load and unload robotic welders.
  • Read and understand part drawings and engineering prints.
  • Use manufacturing software (Epicor) accurately.
  • Inspect parts as directed by inspection level.
  • Follow start of JOB and SHIFT inspections.
  • Perform in-process inspections and document according to policies.
  • Inspect parts to confirm weld quality.
  • Operate forklift, crane, and other material handling equipment.
  • Maintain safety, quality policies, and company behaviors (5S, Safety, Continuous Improvement).
  • Complete MECR forms for verification.
  • Understand sheet metal and weld characteristics.
  • Read and comprehend prints and drawings.
  • Ensure cleanliness and safety of work area.
  • Communicate effectively internally and externally.
  • Support and assist other employees and departments.
  • Perform other duties as assigned.
  • Adhere to all company policies and procedures.
  • Work independently and collaboratively.
  • Follow ISO standards and quality guidelines.
  • Perform secondary welding/grinding as needed.
  • Meet productivity and efficiency standards.
  • Work overtime as needed.
  • Maintain regular attendance.
Welder - Level II
  • All Level I duties.
  • Weld in all positions using MIG and TIG.
  • Set up MIG/TIG welds.
  • Obtain AWS certifications (D1.2 and D1.6).
Welder - Level III
  • All Level I and II duties.
  • Exceed performance expectations.
  • Program and perform preventive maintenance on robots.
  • Set up and adjust robots.
  • Train others in Level I and II duties.

Required Skills, Knowledge, and Abilities
  • Knowledge of ERP systems.
  • Ability to obtain AWS certification and MIG certification within two months of hire.
Education and Experience
  • High school diploma or GED.
  • 1 year of vocational training or relevant work experience.
  • For Lead role: 3 years’ experience in MIG, TIG welding, process and personnel improvement, and ability to prioritize work.
Physical Job Requirements
  • Frequent walking, bending, use of hands, lifting up to 50 lbs., pushing/pulling, reaching, sitting, and exposure to moving parts.
Work Environment

Moderate to high noise level. Reasonable accommodations available. Duties may vary and change.

Work hours: Monday-Thursday 5:00am-3:30pm.
