Job summary

Wastequip is seeking a Welder for its Winamac, IN operation. The role requires MIG welding in a fast-paced manufacturing setting, with responsibilities across layout, tack welding, and on-line assembly of refuse trucks components.

Responsibilities

• Position parts in jigs or fixtures on bench or floor and tack weld as directed.
• Weld on a production line assembling refuse trucks.
• Lay out and weld components along vertical, horizontal, and overhead lines.
• Inspect welds for bead size and conformity to specs.
• Scar and grind welds and remove slag or splatter as needed.
• Lift and move up to 90 lbs. and operate safely in a production environment.

The ideal candidate will be a MIG Welder with prior experience in a manufacturing environment.**Pay: $23.41 Shift: First****Responsibilities*** Positions parts in jigs or fixtures on bench or floor, or clamps parts together along layout marks* Working in a production line, Welding Refuse trucks assembly* Lays out, positions, and tack welds work pieces* Welds along vertical, horizontal, and overhead weld lines* Connects regulator valves to oxygen and fuel gas cylinders for cutting torch. Turns regulator valves to activate flow of gases, lights torch, and adjusts gas mixture and pressure to obtain desired flame.
