Job summary

Wastequip has an immediate opportunity for a Welder in Winamac, IN. This full-time role offers comprehensive benefits including health insurance, 401K, and paid time off.

The ideal candidate will be a MIG welder with prior manufacturing experience. You will weld parts, read blueprints, and adhere to safety standards on a fast-paced production line.

Qualifications

• Read and interpret simple instructions and memos.
• Understand fractions and decimals for measurements.
• Follow safety rules and wear PPE during welding.

Responsibilities

• Position parts in jigs or fixtures on bench or floor.
• Weld on a production line for refuse truck assemblies.
• Weld beads on vertical, horizontal, and overhead lines.
• Connect regulator valves to oxygen/fuel gas cylinders and adjust gas flow.
• Inspect welds for bead size and quality against specs.
• Grind slag and excess weld; prepare finished parts.

The ideal candidate will be a MIG Welder with prior experience in a manufacturing environment.Pay: $23.41Shift: FirstResponsibilitiesPositions parts in jigs or fixtures on bench or floor, or clamps parts together along layout marksWorking in a production line, Welding Refuse trucks assemblyLays out, positions, and tack welds work piecesWelds along vertical, horizontal, and overhead weld linesConnects regulator valves to oxygen and fuel gas cylinders for cutting torch. Turns regulator valves to activate flow of gases, lights torch, and adjusts gas mixture and pressure to obtain desired flame.
